Begopa Restaurant in Bochum

I have always wanted to try Korean cuisine and this place lived up to all my expectations, I recommend it with a clear conscience.

I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant very much and I will be a guest again.

There were four of us at Begopa on a Friday evening. We had different starters and main courses (fish, meat and vegetarian) and were all really impressed. The dishes are authentic and delicious. The dishes marked as spicy had good, but still edible spiciness and the other dishes were also deliciously seasoned. Service is friendly and quick, and prices are reasonable. Only the atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit sober. But you can overlook that with the delicious food.

It was delicious, but not as fancy as I had hoped. Maybe we should have inquired about the more typical dishes beforehand. The owner served himself and was extremely friendly. We would have ordered a few more drinks if we had seen him more often. Nice attention: four bowls were served with all kinds of Korean salads. That was nice.

Very tasty food and very friendly service. The menu has a good, compact selection. Note for the restaurant: In my opinion, the furnishings and lighting were very bright and seemed a little cold. Maybe something can be done there?

Rice bowls Unfortunately not even half full .. So that we all 6 reordered, these were then half empty again as if someone had already eaten half. Portions are generally rather small and too sweetened. There are no Korean guests in the restaurant, which should have been a bad sign from the start. As a fan of Korean cuisine and culture, this restaurant is sadly a disappointment! I prefer to drive 40 minutes to Düsseldorf, where you can find authentic Korean food and feeling.

I think the Begopa is really nice and particularly tasty. The SERVICE was how it should be. Very nice, but not intrusive. The food came very quickly, the drinks came almost directly with the starters. The AMBIENTE is more like a living room or kitchen with friends. So it might be nothing for a romantic dinner. If you want to eat something "different" with your girlfriend, family or friends, it will not bother you :) The FOOD was really very good. It was only the second time I've been to Korean food and the second time I got excited. Everything tastes very fresh and you get vegetarian, seafood and meat dishes. We also had 4 small sample bowls with our starters, which I found very nice.

The food is delicious, the price is not proportional to the serving size, the serving size is too small, you may have to order 2 servings to feel full

So far I have been to this restaurant at least 8 times and have never been disappointed. I tried 6 different main dishes in that time and all of them were excellent. Since I've been to South Korea twice, I claim that the food really corresponds to the food in Korea. In Korea, however, makgeolli is served in tin kettles and not in plastic bottles. There is no single dish that I can recommend, all of them are delicious. I love to keep trying something new. And it's worth it! Although I am a meat eater, I have to say that I really miss nothing in the vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is very bright, some people may find it a bit uncomfortable or cold. But the food makes you warm to hot in the heart. Because if a dish is marked as "spicy", then it is also spicy. Now not as hot as in Korea itself, but already very impressive for German tastes. And with all that, the prices for the meals are very cheap for what is offered in terms of quality and quantity. Korean drinks such as Makgeolli (alcoholic drink made from rice with 6% alcohol) are quite expensive, but worth trying.

We went to this restaurant for the first time today and the food was just amazing! The service was super quick and very friendly. The shop is adapted to the Corona guidelines and has a very comfortable atmosphere.

Most of the time I didn't want to share the dessert with my sister at all. We have learned from this for the future and will order one dessert per person the next time we visit. The decoration on the squares and in the entire restaurant is sensible and beautiful. The toilets are constantly clean and all in all the place gives a great impression. I was completely positively surprised. Both of us will definitely be back. In the restaurant you get both: friendly and brisk service.

Impeccable Korean food. Everything selfmade. I especially recommend the starters. The whole thing at social prices. Many dishes are, as usual in Asia, vegetarian, but very well seasoned and delicious. Small note: sharp is sharp here

The food was delicious and actually looked exactly like the menu. The selection is not so rich, but authentic and our reports tasted good. I recommend the Korean style pork cutlet.

Spontaneously went in, got a table immediately and the food came super quickly after ordering and was great! Good ambience and really nice service! Can only be recommended!

Good food nice ambience. Staves are polite but . But the waiting time is quite long even after prior reservation. And the dishes before being served to the customer should be checked to ensure that the one that has been ordered is being only served.

Looks from the outside like a pub, but is very fresh and modern inside and very comfortable and pleasant. The food was great and the price totally okay! Super nice and friendly staff, come back here happy :)

So I have relatively little idea what the Korean cuisine, but that what I got to know there, I would recommend anyone immediately! We ordered a small starter, however, the waiter brought even more small starters to try! Among other Kimchi, which I found incredibly delicious. The price was also ok. Great atmosphere where even Koreans like to go. So can only be good right?

As a Korean myself, I was thrilled to try here as there is no single authentic Korean restaurant in Bochum yet. Surprise Surprise Surprise! It is as authentic as all the good K restaurants in Düsseldorf and I can't wait to return to this cosy, great restaurant in the near future. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. The owner said that they have a baby chair too so a family outing would fit in too. Fantastic selections, Delicious Foods, Friendly Owner, Clean Restaurant, what more do you need ;P

Finally there is a good Korean in Bochum. There are many Korean restaurants and pochas in Düsseldorf. We chose five (No. 4, 23, 26, 31) dishes. These were very authentic and delicious. No. 23 in particular was very tasty. You get really good advice from the boss personally. Quality 2-1 Flavor 2-1 Quantity: 1 Ambience: 2nd Service: 2 Unfortunately we couldn't take pictures of everything because we plastered it immediately. ;).
